CitizenshipSt. Lucia
A flexible second-citizenship route through one of the Caribbean's youngest and most adaptable programmes.
Saint Lucia introduced its citizenship-by-investment programme in 2015, making it one of the newer options in the region but one that has quickly earned a reputation for straightforward requirements and competitive pricing. The island nation offers investors several distinct routes to the same full citizenship.
Applicants can contribute to the National Economic Fund, purchase approved real estate, back an enterprise project or, in certain cases, invest in government bonds. Each path leads to a passport that is valid for ten years and renewable, with dual citizenship permitted and no need to give up an existing nationality.
CBIProgram manages the entire file for you, from pre-screening and document assembly through the government's due diligence review, so that qualifying families can typically expect a decision within three to four months.
- Residence requirement: None
- Holding period: 5 years (real estate)
Program law
The programme operates under Act No. 14 of 2015, the legislation that established Saint Lucia's citizenship-by-investment framework, with government updates taking effect from 1 January 2017.
